Families
One of the foundations of Morning Star is to strengthen families according to God’s design. This includes blended, adoptive, foster, single and two-parent homes, even grandparents raising grandchildren. No matter your family’s color, shape or size, God brings good news to you.

Relationship
Spending time together gives families space to build relationships. At Morning Star, we believe family time is vital with the fast pace of our modern schedules. We want to encourage and support your family as they take time out from the busyness to do something fun together.
Candy Cane Lane
Peppermint pancakes (or regular, if preferred) get served up with a bounce house, craft, holiday story and plenty of memories on Candy Cane Lane. Preschool and elementary-aged children invite their families for a Christmas celebration, candy-cane style.
Family Fun Fest
Climbing walls, obstacle courses, face painting, balloon creations, games and grab-and-go eats create a carnival-like atmosphere, giving families budget-friendly fun. Each fun fest looks different, but each promises to build family connections through play.
Family Scavenger Hunt
Oh the adventure of searching Chardon for the most items on the list! Car-by-car, families leave Morning Star to complete the hunt and return to discover the victor. A meal, prizes and laughter round out the event with relationship building between families.
Family Game Extravaganza
Friendly family competition winds up with games for every age. (Think Minute-to-Win-It style.) And water may just be included to beat the summer heat. Popcorn and cotton candy add to the carnival atmosphere.
