Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission

Make disciples who love Jesus, connect people, share hope, and celebrate life.

Our Core Values

At Morning Star Friends Church we value making disciples who…

Worship Freely
… delighting in giving honor and glory to God, individually and corporately. We worship God through our thoughts, words, songs and actions. As Jesus praised and proclaimed the greatness of His Father, so shall we.

Pray Diligently
… communicating with God in persistent and expectant prayer. We spend focused time praying as individuals, in small groups and corporately. As Jesus taught His disciples to pray through instruction and practice, so shall we.

Live Biblically
… hungering for God’s Word and obeying its teachings. The Bible is inspired by God and is the source of truth, providing guidance for every area of life and leading us to the Savior. As Jesus knew, spoke and lived out the Scriptures, so shall we.

Equip Fully
… being prepared and preparing others to live out their faith. A well-equipped church is a healthy and effective church. As Jesus equipped His disciples through mentoring, resourcing and teaching, so shall we.

Go Boldly
… being sent and also sending others to share the hope of the Gospel. We spread God’s love daily through our actions and words outside the church. As Jesus actively sought to reach the lost close to home and far away, so shall we.

Serve Joyfully
… using their gifts, skills and resources to meet the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual needs of our community. Serving joyfully brings honor to God and builds His Kingdom. As Jesus demonstrated God’s love by denying His own comfort to humbly serve others, so shall we.

Engage Relationally
… actively pursuing relationships with anyone God brings into their lives. We agree with God that all people are valuable, and we will create environments which develop friendships. As Jesus freely gave of His time to meet with others and build relationships, so shall we.
